[00:01:44] Dropping references to the demolition of Babri muster in Ayodhya, the killing

[00:01:47] of Muslims and Gujarat riots in Hindutva and tweaking reference to Manipur's merger

[00:01:52] with India among the latest set of revisions made public by the National Council of Educational

[00:01:57] Research and Training in its textbooks.

[00:02:01] While NCRT did not comment on the topics being dropped, officials said the tweaks

[00:02:05] are part of the routine adaptation and are not linked to the development of new

[00:02:09] books as per the new curriculum framework.

[00:02:12] The changes have been made in the political science textbooks of Class XI and XII among

[00:02:17] others.

[00:02:18] According to a document detailing the changes prepared by the Curriculum Drafting Committee

[00:02:23] of the NCRT, the references to the Ram Jain Bhoomi movement have been tweaked as per

[00:02:28] the latest development in politics.

[00:02:34] The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to academic activist Shomakandhi Sen, who was

[00:02:38] arrested in June 2018 in connection with the Elgar Pelshitmavoist's lynx case.

[00:02:45] A bench of justices Anirudha Bose and Augustine George Masik directed that she be released on

[00:02:51] bail on such conditions as the special court may consider fit and proper.

[00:02:55] It said the conditions shall include that Sen shall not leave the state of Maharashtra

[00:03:01] without the permission of the special court.

[00:03:04] She shall use only one mobile phone number during the bail period and share it with

[00:03:09] the investigating officer.

[00:03:10] The right to uprend the ship, a legal guarantee for MSP and passing a constitutional amendment

[00:03:19] to raise the 50% cap on reservations for ACs, ASTs and OBCs are among the promises

[00:03:25] made by the Congress in its manifesto for the loxobar polls released on Friday.

[00:03:31] The manifesto, titled Naibatra, was released at the AACC headquarters in the presence

[00:03:36] of Congress President Malikarjun Kharge and former party chiefs Sonia Gandhi and Rakhul

[00:03:41] Gandhi.

[00:03:43] It focused on five pillars of justice and 25 guarantees under them.

[00:03:48] The opposition party promised to fill nearly 30 lakh vacancies in sanctioned polls at

[00:03:53] various levels in the central government.

[00:03:59] President Joe Biden threatened on Thursday to condition support for Israel's offensive

[00:04:03] in Gaza on it taking concrete steps to protect aid workers and civilians seeking for the first

[00:04:09] time to leverage USA to influence Israeli military behavior.

[00:04:15] Biden's warning relied in a call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday followed

[00:04:41] killing 1,200 people and seizing 253 hostages according to Israeli tallies.

[00:04:49] Israel retaliated by embossing a total siege on Gaza, then launching an air and ground

[00:04:54] assault that has killed more than 33,000 Palestinians, say health authorities in Hamas-ruled

[00:05:00] Gaza.

[00:05:03] The Kerala High Court here on Friday urged the Union government to notify CBPROB in the

[00:05:08] Siddharthen death case immediately.

[00:05:12] In the interim order, Justice Benjikourian Thomas asked the sender to issue the notification

[00:05:16] under Section 5 of the Daily Special Police Establishment Act while considering the

[00:05:22] petition of the deceased Father Jayaprakash.

[00:05:25] Siddharthen is a second-year student at the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences

[00:05:28] University in Pukot, Vineyard, was found dead on February 18, allegedly after

[00:05:34] enduring severe ragging and morphed trials.

[00:05:37] The deceased student's father approached the High Court on Thursday seeking intervention

[00:05:42] to initiate a CBPROB into his son's death days after declaring a protest against the

[00:05:47] Kerala government.

[00:05:49] The petitioner realized that the government deliberately delayed the CBPROB to facilitate

[00:05:54] bail for the accused.
