[00:01:21] Ahmadinejad Party convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday ruled out the possibility of an alliance between his party and the Congress for the Delhi Assembly polls due in February.

[00:01:29] Ahmadinejad Party and Congress are part of the Opposition India Bloc and fought the Lok Sabay elections in Delhi together earlier this year.

[00:01:35] Both parties drew a blank with the BJP winning all seats.

[00:01:39] Ahmadinejad Party and Congress failed to reach a seat-sharing agreement ahead of the Haryana Assembly polls in October despite several rounds of talks.

[00:01:46] Kejriwal also targeted the BJP-led Central Government for alleged inaction on law and ordered issues in Delhi, claiming that instead of taking action against criminals,

[00:01:53] an attack was orchestrated on him during his No. 30 Padhyatra in Malviya Nagar.

[00:01:57] The former chief minister also accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of sending the message that complainants rather than offenders will face arrest.

[00:02:06] Deadly sectarian clashes have continued in Pakistan's northwestern Khurram district in spite of a tentative ceasefire struck late last week, local officials said,

[00:02:14] with the death toll now over 130 as authorities try to broker a solution.

[00:02:19] Khurram near the border with Afghanistan has been a flashpoint for sectarian tensions for decades.

[00:02:23] This spilled over into a fresh wave of attacks last month when clashes between Sunnis and Shias left dozens dead.

[00:02:30] District administration official Wajit Hussain said 133 people had been killed in the attacks in the last week and a half.

[00:02:37] A Pakistani government team mediated a seven-day ceasefire deal between the rival groups last Sunday.

[00:02:42] Provincial authorities put the death toll at 97, with 43 people killed in the initial attack when gunmen opened fire on mostly Shia drivers and the rest killed in retaliatory clashes.

[00:02:52] Palestinian militant group Hamas released a video of an Israeli-American hostage on Saturday in which he pleads for U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to secure his release.

[00:03:01] Yale Alexander, the mother of hostage Aiden Alexander, said she was shaken by a three-and-a-half-minute video which showed the 20-year-old captive looking pale, seated in a dark space against a wall.

[00:03:11] He identified himself and addressed his family, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump.

[00:03:16] Yale Alexander called on Israel's leaders to end the war in Gaza and make a deal with Hamas to release the hostages.

[00:03:22] Netanyahu said in a statement that the video was cruel psychological warfare and that he had told Alexander's family in a phone call that Israel was working tirelessly to bring the hostages home.

[00:03:31] Alexander, a soldier at the time of his abduction, was taken to Gaza during the October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas on southern Israel.

[00:03:39] Meanwhile, Israeli military strikes killed at least 15 Palestinians in Gaza on Sunday, Merrick said, as Israeli forces kept up bombardments across the enclave and blew up houses on its northern edge.

[00:03:49] Palestinians say Israel's operations on the northern edge of the enclave are part of a plan to clear people out through forced evacuations and bombardments to create a buffer zone, an allegation the army denies.

[00:04:40] The Indian army was running relief operations in Puducherry for people in the eye of the storm while rainfall east in Chennai.

[00:04:46] In Sri Lanka, 16 people were killed with heavy rains affecting a total of 1,38,944 families.

[00:04:53] The latest data from the disaster management centre in Colombo showed.

[00:04:57] Stepping up its attack on the Union government over the lack of assistance for the landslide survivors of Vyanod,

[00:05:03] the Kerala government on Sunday said it was yet to get any information regarding the amount to be allotted to the state for the relief and rehabilitation.

[00:05:09] The left government reminded that the state and the centre were not enemy nations but part of the same constitution

[00:05:15] and requested the centre to act as a guardian angel during the time of tragedies.

[00:05:19] The government also urged the Congress led UDF to stand united cutting across their political differences

[00:05:24] to secure the deserved central assistance for the landslide survivors of Vyanod.

[00:05:27] The disaster, which struck on July 30th, devastated large parts of three villages,

[00:05:33] Punjirimattam, Churilmala and Mundakai, along with sections of Attamala in Vyanod.

[00:05:37] As per the government, the deadly disaster claimed 231 lives while 47 people are still missing.
