[00:02:29] deadliest floods in years.

[00:02:31] Meteorologists reported that parts of Valencia received a year's worth of rain in just eight

[00:02:35] hours on Tuesday, causing severe traffic pileups and flooding farmland in the region that

[00:02:39] produced about two-thirds of Spain's citrus fruits, a major global exporter of oranges.

[00:02:44] The storm responsible for the torrential downpours have since moved northeast.

[00:02:50] Amid controversy regarding the use of an ambulance to reach the Drusurpuram venue after reports

[00:02:55] of disruptions to the festival, Union Minister Suresh Gobi on Thursday detailed the events

[00:03:00] surrounding the incident and called for a CBI investigation.

[00:03:03] Gobi, the Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Tourism, acknowledged that he

[00:03:09] arrived at the festival site in an ambulance but insisted that he initially reached the

[00:03:14] area in his car.

[00:03:15] He claimed his vehicle was attacked by Gundaz from rival parties and that he was subsequently

[00:03:20] assisted by local youths who placed him in an ambulance designated for festival emergencies.

[00:03:25] He also alleged that these controversies were being manufactured, divert attention from financial

[00:03:31] scandals, including the Karwan Noor cooperative bank scam.

[00:03:36] The Hortoos Art and Literature Festival organised by Malayalam Anurama has officially begun in

[00:03:41] Khorikode.

[00:03:41] Chief Minister Pinaray Vijay inaugurated the event at Oppone Stadium on Khorikode Beach,

[00:03:45] with Khorikode Mayor Bina Phillip presiding.

[00:03:48] The festival features speeches from notable figures, including Malayalam Anurama executive editor

[00:03:52] Jayant Mahamon Matthew and Polish writer Marek Binzak.

[00:03:55] Running from No. 1 to 3, Hortoos will host over 130 debates across 10 venues and welcome

[00:04:02] more than 400 guests, including Tamil Nadu, Deputy Chief Minister Udenadi Stalin and Delhi

[00:04:07] Chief Minister Adi Shee.
