[00:00:32] Ten suspected militants were killed in a gunfight with security forces last week, according to the Manipur Police.

[00:01:41] Ten suspected militants were killed in a gunfight with security forces last week, according to Manipur Police.

[00:01:46] The clash occurred after insurgents pressed in camouflage uniforms and armed with sophisticated weapons launched an indiscriminate attack.

[00:01:53] Rights activist Hirom Sharma believes that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's direct intervention is essential to resolving the crisis in violence in Manipur,

[00:02:01] warning that the re-imposition of the Raconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act in six police station areas in the northeastern state could escalate the unrest further.

[00:02:10] Meanwhile, Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharki has returned to President Draupati Murmu over the deteriorating situation in Manipur

[00:02:17] and has urged her immediate intervention to ensure that the people of the state live peacefully in their homes with dignity.

[00:02:24] External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Rio de Janeiro to discuss the next steps in India-China relations.

[00:02:32] This marks the first high-level engagement between the two countries following the disengagement of their militaries from Demchok and Epsang in eastern Nadakh.

[00:02:41] In a post on X, the External Affairs Minister said both sides noted the progress in the recent disengagement of the border areas and exchange views on the next steps in the bilateral ties.

[00:02:51] The two sides also assumed patrolling activities in these areas after a gap of almost four and a half years.

[00:02:58] After the completion of disengagement, Indian and the Chinese militaries are carrying out one round of patrolling each in Epsang and Demchokh.

[00:03:05] People familiar with the matter said.

[00:03:08] Bahujan Vikas Akhadi leader, he attended a Thakur on Tuesday, the eve of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, alleged that senior BJP leader Vinod Thamdi distributed money to voters in a constituency in Palkhar district.

[00:03:19] The BJP has, however, rubbished the allegations saying Thakur's claim was nothing more than a publicity stunt and the Mahavikas Akhadi was making these allegations as it is headed for defeat.

[00:03:30] Polls for the 288th Member State Assembly will be held on November 20th and the votes will be counted on November 23rd.

[00:03:36] Taking to X, Shiv Sena leader, Sajarath said,

[00:04:04] The Delhi government has termed their situation a medical emergency and urged institutions to take preventive measures in the interest of public health.

[00:04:11] The two major factors affecting the city's air are weather conditions and stubble burning.

[00:04:16] Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said that all physical classes till class 12 have been suspended and will be shifted online.

[00:04:22] Hence, schools in the state have been either closed or shifted to virtual mode.

[00:04:28] The Apex Court has granted anticipatory bail to Malala Makhtar Siddik, who is accused in a rape case on Tuesday.

[00:04:34] The bench consisting of Justices Bela M Trivedi and Satish Chandra Sharma said that the trial court is at liberty to set other conditions for anticipatory bail.

[00:04:43] The veteran actor will also have to deposit his passport and cooperate with the investigating officer in the probe, the bench added.

[00:04:50] The top court also took note of the fact that the complaint in the case was filed in August, eight years after the alleged incident took place in 2016.
