[00:01:24] Karnataka Home Minister Jeebairi Meeshwara on Saturday said the lookout notice has been

[00:01:28] issued by a special investigation team against JDS MLA HD Revanna who is facing sexual abuse

[00:01:34] allegations along with his son and party MP Pradjwal Revanna.

[00:01:37] Two FIRs have been registered against the JDS Legislator.

[00:01:41] A first case was registered against the father and son duo for alleged sexual harassment

[00:01:45] in Hasan district last Sunday, based on a complaint by a woman who worked in Revanna's

[00:01:50] house.

[00:01:51] The second FIR was registered against Revanna and his confidant Sadeesh Babanna in Mysuru

[00:01:55] on Thursday night for allegedly abducting a woman who is also reportedly a victim of sexual

[00:02:00] abuse.

[00:02:01] The 33-year-old Pradjwal Revanna, who is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD

[00:02:05] Devagawda, was the BJP JDS Alliance candidate from Hasan which went to the polls on April

[00:02:10] 26th.

[00:02:11] Explicit video clips allegedly involving Pradjwal Revanna had started making the

[00:02:15] rounds in Hasan in recent days following which the state government constituted

[00:02:19] the SIT to probe the alleged sex scandal involving the MP.

[00:02:22] Pradjwal Revanna is said to have flown abroad on April 27th, a day after the first phase

[00:02:26] of looks above polls in Karnataka held on April 26th.

[00:02:32] Rohit Vemula's mother Radhika Vemula met the Langana Chief Minister A. Revant

[00:02:36] Reddy on Saturday and urged him to see that justice is done to the family.

[00:02:40] Reddy assured her that an investigation would be conducted again into the University

[00:02:43] of Hyderabad students' suicide in 2016 and that justice would be done, an official

[00:02:48] release said.

[00:02:49] The Chief Minister assured that a fair and transparent investigation would be conducted

[00:02:53] further.

[00:02:54] Rohit Vemula's brother Raja Vemula said he expressed confidence that justice would be

[00:02:57] done to them under the President's Congress' government.

[00:03:00] Police have filed a closure report before a local court and his probe into the death

[00:03:04] of Rohit Vemula, a student of the University of Hyderabad claiming he was not a Dalit

[00:03:07] and died by suicide in 2016 as he feared that his real cause would be discovered.

[00:03:13] The Langana DGP Ravi Gupta has already announced to conduct further investigation into the

[00:03:17] case in view of the doubts expressed by Rohit Vemula's mother and others on the closure

[00:03:21] report.

[00:03:22] The police gave a clean sheet to the accused including incumbent Haryana Governor

[00:03:26] Bumdarudda Tatrya, former BJP MLC and Ramchand Rao and cited lack of evidence in the

[00:03:32] case.

[00:03:36] Former Delhi Congress President Adwin Darsingh Lovely joined the BJP on Saturday along

[00:03:40] with a few other leaders including former city government minister Raj Kumar Chauhan

[00:03:44] and former MLA's Niraj Basoya and Nasib Singh.

[00:03:47] While the former Congress leaders slammed the opposition party's alliance with the Amadmi

[00:03:51] Party in Delhi for the Lok Sabha polls as they joined the BJP in the presence of Union

[00:03:55] Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Party General Secretary Vinod Thavde.

[00:03:59] Lovely hailed the BJP leadership including Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving him

[00:04:03] and his colleagues the opportunity to join the party when they felt lost.

[00:04:07] He asserted that Modi said to retain power with a big majority in the ongoing Lok

[00:04:10] Sabha polls.

[00:04:12] Lovely had recently quit as the Delhi Congress President protesting the party's alliance

[00:04:15] with the AAP.

[00:04:17] This will be the second innings of Lovely in the BJP after he left it to rejoin the Congress

[00:04:21] in 2018 following a brief stay in the Saffron Party.

[00:04:28] Canadian authorities who arrested three Indian nationals in connection with the killing

[00:04:31] of Kailasthan separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada have said that their investigation

[00:04:35] has not concluded and others who played a role in the homicide would also be

[00:04:39] arrested.

[00:04:40] Karan Brar, Kamilpreet Singh and Karanpreet Singh, all Indian nationals residing in

[00:04:44] Edmonton, have been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

[00:04:49] The Royal Canadian Mounted Police on Friday said they are investigating if the Indian government

[00:04:53] was involved in the killing of Nijjar, a Canadian citizen.

[00:04:56] The three accused are believed to be members of an alleged Hitchcock task by the government

[00:04:59] of India with the killing of Nijjar outside of Gurudwara in Sari, British Columbia on

[00:05:04] June 18, 2023.

[00:05:09] The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services on Saturday withdrew a red alert

[00:05:13] issued for Kallakadil in the coastal areas of Kerala and the South Tamil Nadu coast and

[00:05:18] revised it to an orange alert.

[00:05:20] Kallakadil is a phenomenon of sudden sea swells causing rough waves in coastal areas.

[00:05:24] As part of the phenomenon, the low-lying areas of the Kerala coast are likely to

[00:05:28] experience rough sea and sea surge due to extremely strong waves of 0.5 meters to

[00:05:33] 1.5 meters till 11.30 pm on Sunday.

[00:05:36] The low-lying coastal areas of South Tamil Nadu are also likely to experience a similar

[00:05:40] situation.

[00:05:41] Kallakadil's advice people to continue their caution and avoid trips to the beach and completely

[00:05:45] stay away from activities at sea.
