[00:00:30] In Arunachal Pradesh, the BJP returned to power for the third time in a row as the

[00:00:34] party won 46 seats in the 60-member assembly and secured a majority.

[00:01:16] The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha on Sunday returned to power by sweeping the assembly

[00:01:20] polls in the Himalayan state, winning 31 of 32 seats, according to the election commission.

[00:01:25] In Arunachal Pradesh, the BJP returned to power for the third time in a row as

[00:01:29] the party won 46 seats in the 60-member assembly and secured a majority.

[00:01:33] Elections to the Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh assemblies were held simultaneously

[00:01:37] with the Lok Sabha polls on April 19.

[00:01:39] The counting began at 6 am amid tight security.

[00:01:42] The Sikkim led by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang had won 17 seats in 2019 and

[00:01:47] unseated the STF which stalled the state for 25 years in a row.

[00:01:51] In Arunachal Pradesh, the BJP has won 10 seats of the 60-seat assembly uncontested.

[00:01:56] Votes were counted for 50 assembly segments on Sunday.

[00:01:59] Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal offered prayers at the Hanuman

[00:02:02] Temple and cannot place on Sunday before surrendering at the Dihar jail.

[00:02:06] From the temple, Kejriwal left for the Amarpim party office on Rao's Avenue Road

[00:02:09] where he addressed party workers and leaders.

[00:02:12] Kejriwal was released from the prison on May 10 on interim bail granted by

[00:02:19] excise policy scam to campaign in the Lok Sabha polls.

[00:02:22] The bail expired on June 1, the day the seventh and last phase of the general

[00:02:26] elections was held.

[00:02:28] Terming the exit polls bogus, the congress on Sunday said they were

[00:02:32] a deliberate attempt to justify rigging of the elections and part of

[00:02:35] psychological games being played by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lower

[00:02:38] the morale of India bloc workers.

[00:02:40] Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi dubbed the exit polls as

[00:02:43] Modi Media Poll.

[00:02:44] This is not called an exit poll, but its name is Modi Media Poll.

[00:02:47] This is Modi Ji's poll, it is his fantasy poll, Gandhi told reporters at

[00:02:51] the AICC headquarters after a meeting with the party's Lok Sabha

[00:02:54] MPs by video conference.

[00:02:56] Exit polls on Saturday predicted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi

[00:02:59] will retain power for a third straight term, with the BJP-led ND expected

[00:03:03] to win a big majority in the Lok Sabha polls.

[00:03:07] An aide to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Sunday that

[00:03:10] Israel accepted US President Joe Biden's framework to end the Gaza

[00:03:13] War, though he called it flawed and needing more work.

[00:03:16] Biden has hailed several ceasefire proposals over the past several

[00:03:20] months, each with similar frameworks to the one he outlined on Friday,

[00:03:24] all of which collapsed.

[00:03:26] After the two-month summer vacation, schools in Kerala are set to reopen

[00:03:30] on Monday.

[00:03:31] Unlike the previous years, this academic year marks significant

[00:03:34] changes in the textbooks, the answer sheet valuation system and the

[00:03:37] discontinuation of the all-past practice and more.

[00:03:41] Education Minister Vishi Venkuti has announced that the all-past

[00:03:43] practice would be discontinued for classes 1-9 with both studies and

[00:03:47] examinations to be conducted more aggressively.

[00:03:50] The minister also stated that the requirement for minimum marks in all

[00:03:53] subjects for the class 10 would be implemented.

[00:03:56] After a 10-year gap, textbooks have been revised for classes 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.

[00:04:01] Another special feature this year is the inclusion of lessons that

[00:04:04] promote gender equality.
