[00:01:23] Let's get into details.
[00:01:25] The India Meteorological Department issued a warning on Monday for heavy rainfall in Kerala due to Cyclone Fangel, which is currently a strong low pressure area over northern Tamil Nadu.
[00:01:36] The system is expected to strengthen as it moves toward the Arabian Sea, passing over northern Kerala and Karnataka by December 3.
[00:01:44] On Monday, Kerala is predicted to experience light to moderate rainfall across most areas, with some regions likely to receive very heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
[00:01:53] On Tuesday, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in the northern and central parts of the state.
[00:01:58] The IMD also forecasts intermittent light to moderate rain with occasional thunderstorms for the next five days.
[00:02:05] The Supreme Court on Monday urged Punjab farmer leader Jagdeet Singh Dhalewal, who is on a hunger strike at the Kanauri border, to persuade protesters to avoid blocking highways and causing public inconvenience.
[00:02:16] The bench emphasized that peaceful protests should not disrupt the public and suggested Dhalewal encourage lawful demonstrations.
[00:02:24] Farmers have been protesting since February 13, demanding legal guarantees for MSP, pension for farmers, debt waivers and compensation for those who died during previous agitations.
[00:02:36] Spicejet announced on Monday that it has secured the rights to operate Hudge flights in 2025 from four key cities, Kolkata, Guwahati, Srinagar and Gaia.
[00:02:45] The airline will operate over 100 special flights carrying 18% more pilgrims compared to this year using both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft.
[00:02:54] Spicejet expects to generate Rs 185 crore in revenue from these operations.
[00:03:01] During the previous Hudge season, the airline used two wide-body Airbus A340 aircraft, each with a seating capacity of 324 passengers.
[00:03:12] The Kremlin responded on Monday to US President-elect Donald Trump's threat to impose tariffs on BRICS countries if they create their own currency, stating that any attempt to force countries to use the US dollar would backfire.
[00:03:25] Trump had warned the BRICS countries would face 100% tariffs if they replace the dollar with a new or alternative currency.
[00:03:31] Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov noted that the dollar is losing its appeal as a reserve currency, with more countries shifting to national currencies in trade.
[00:03:40] Peskov warned that US economic pressure would only accelerate this trend.
[00:03:44] Despite this, recent studies show that the dollar remains the dominant global reserve currency.
[00:03:51] On Sunday, outgoing US President Joe Biden issued a full and unconditional pardon to his son Hunter Biden, who had been convicted earlier this year on federal gun and tax charges.
[00:04:01] Biden argued that Hunter was unfairly prosecuted due to political motives and singled out because of his relationship to the president.
[00:04:09] Biden criticized the prosecution, noting that similar cases usually result in non-criminal resolutions.
[00:04:14] He also said that Hunter's charges were politically motivated instigated by his opponents in Congress.
[00:04:21] That brings us to the end of this episode.
