[00:01:28] The CBI, in collaboration with NIA and Interpol, has successfully extradited Salman Rahman Khan, a member of the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkari Taiba from Rwanda.
[00:01:39] Khan, who had been wanted for his role in providing arms, ammunition and explosives for terrorist activities in Bengaluru, was the subject of an Interpol-read notice due to his involvement in a 2023 terror-related case.
[00:01:52] The National Investigation Agency had filed a case and an FIR was registered at Hebel Police Station.
[00:01:58] Based on the NIA's request, the CBI issued a red notice against Khan in August 2024, which was circulated globally.
[00:02:05] Khan was tracked to Rwanda, where the CBI coordinated Interpol's National Central Bureau in Kigali for his return to India on November 28, 2024.
[00:02:16] Bangladesh is called for the International Criminal Court to pursue charges against deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, even as she faces trial in a domestic tribunal for crimes against humanity.
[00:02:27] Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus discussed the issue with ICC Prosecutor Kareem A. Khan during a meeting at Yunus' residence on Thursday.
[00:02:35] Hasina, who fled to India on August 5 amid protest against the government's job quota system, was accused of orchestrating massacres during the July-August 2023 mass upricings and enforced disappearances during her 15-year rule.
[00:02:50] Proceedings in both Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the third consecutive day on Thursday, amid opposition demands for discussions on bribery allegations against the Adani group and violence in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal and Manipur.

[00:03:35] The National Disaster Response Force has deployed teams for risk assessments in vulnerable areas like TR Pattinam and Karaykel.
[00:03:42] A deep depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal is predicted to intensify into a cyclonic storm within the next 12 hours.
[00:03:51] Even as Abu Dhabi's international holding company, Sri Lanka Port Authority and Tanzania reaffirmed their commitments to Adani Group companies,
[00:03:59] Indian banks, including the State Bank of India, are reviewing group exposure after US charges and reassessing their due diligence processes for new loans.
[00:04:07] Other banks with smaller exposures such as Bank of India, Union Bank, ICICI Bank, Canada Bank, IDBI Bank and RBL Bank are also conducting similar reviews.
[00:04:18] However, a regulatory source emphasised that there is no immediate cause for concern as no bank is excessively exposed to the group.
[00:04:25] SBI, which has the largest exposure with sanctioned loans of Rs 338 billion, will continue lending to Adani projects that are near completion.
[00:04:34] But it will be cautious with future disbursements, ensuring all terms are met.
[00:04:39] None of the banks, including SBI and Adani Group, have commented publicly on the issue.
