[00:00:20] Telegu actor Allu Arjun was arrested by the Hyderabad police on Friday in connection with a woman's death in a Hyderabad theatre due to asphyxation during the Pushpatu screening.

[00:00:31] He was taken into custody from his house in Jubilee Hills and sent to Chikat Palli police station for questioning.

[00:00:37] At the time of his recording the podcast, he was produced in the Nampali court and police sought a 14-day custody.

[00:00:45] Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday stated that if the BJP had secured a stronger mandate in the recent Lok Sabha elections, the government would have initiated steps to alter the constitution.

[00:02:20] The court cited prolonged imprisonment and delays in the appeals process while suspending his sentence nine years into incarceration.

[00:02:28] The division bench of Justice Rajya Vijayrakhaven V. and Justice P.V. Balakrishnan noted that Nasser, who surrendered in November 2015, had faced trial delays.

[00:02:40] The judgment in his case was delivered only in July 2023.

[00:02:44] The court highlighted that similar offenders, who received lesser sentences, was already released.
