[00:00:31] A fourth Indian has been arrested in Canada for his suspected role in the killing
[00:00:36] of Khalistan separatist Hardeep Singh Nijar.
[00:00:41] Despite the international outcry against the revival of military attacks, Israel pushed
[00:00:45] back into northern Gaza and has upped the military pressure on Rafah.
[00:00:50] Flash floods caused by heavy rains have devastated villages in northern Afghanistan
[00:00:56] that left 315 people dead and more than 1,600 injured.
[00:01:02] With the summer rain spreading to more areas in Kerala, IMD sounded a yellow alert in five
[00:01:07] districts on Sunday.

[00:01:11] Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Admi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced
[00:01:18] Kejriwal ki Guarantee.
[00:01:20] He listed 10 works that will be done on war footing including to free Indian land
[00:01:25] from Chinese occupation if the India bloc forms government at the centre.
[00:01:31] The opposition bloc, which has parties such as Aam Admi Party, Congress, Trinamool Congress,
[00:01:37] Dravid Munnetra Kalagam among others as its members, was formed to take on the
[00:01:42] BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in the Lok Sabha polls.
[00:01:46] A day after his release from jail on interim bail, Kejriwal on Saturday said the India
[00:01:51] bloc will form the next government and his AAP will be part of it.
[00:01:55] Addressing a press conference on Sunday, the AAP leader said people will have to
[00:02:00] choose between Modi ki Guarantee and Kejriwal ki Guarantee.
[00:02:03] The latter is a brand, Kejriwal said.
[00:02:06] On the announcement of his guarantees, Kejriwal said,
[00:02:09] A fourth Indian national has been arrested by Canadian authorities in connection with
[00:02:21] the killing of Khalistan separatist Hardeep Singh Nijer.
[00:02:26] This is a week after police arrested three Indians linked with high-profile case that
[00:02:31] has severely strained India's relations with Canada.
[00:02:35] 22-year-old Amandeep Singh, a resident of Brampton, Surrey and Abortsford areas
[00:02:41] of Canada, has been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
[00:02:46] 45-year-old Nijer was killed outside Guru Nanak Singh Gurudwara in Surrey, British
[00:02:52] Columbia on June 18, 2023.
[00:02:55] The Integrated Homicide Investigation team of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said
[00:03:00] that Singh was arrested on May 11 for his role in the killing of Nijer.
[00:03:05] He was already in the custody of the Peel Regional Police for unrelated firearms charges,
[00:03:10] the release said.
[00:03:12] Israel sent tanks into eastern Jabaliyah in the North Angaza Strip early on Sunday.
[00:03:17] This is after a night of heavy aerial and ground bombardments, killing 19 people
[00:03:22] and wounding dozens of others, health officials said.
[00:03:26] Jabaliyah is the biggest of Gaza's eight historic refugee camps and is home to more
[00:03:31] than 100,000 people.
[00:03:33] Most of them were descendants of Palestinians who were driven from towns and villages.
[00:03:39] Late on Saturday, the Israeli military said, forces operating in Jabaliyah are
[00:03:43] preventing Hamas, which controls Gaza, from re-establishing its military capabilities
[00:03:48] there.
[00:03:50] The government, certified in the past week's attempts by Hamas to rehabilitate its
[00:03:54] military capabilities in Jabaliyah, said Rear Admiral Daniel Hagary, Israel's
[00:04:01] military spokesperson, during a briefing to reporters.
[00:04:05] Hagary also said that Israeli forces operating in Gaza City's Seitan district
[00:04:10] killed about 30 Palestinian militants.
[00:04:13] Flash floods caused by heavy rains have devastated villages in northern Afghanistan.
[00:04:18] 315 people were killed and more than 1,600 were injured, authorities said on
[00:04:23] Sunday.
[00:04:24] Thousands of homes were damaged and livestock wiped out, while aid groups
[00:04:29] warned of damage to health care facilities and vital infrastructure such as
[00:04:33] water supply with streets left-corted in mud.
[00:04:37] In a statement, the Taliban's economy minister, Din Mohammad Hanif, urged
[00:04:41] the United Nations, humanitarian agencies and private business to provide
[00:04:45] support for those hit by the floods.
[00:04:48] More Kerala districts are expected to receive the summer rain that has brought
[00:04:52] a big relief from the sweltering heat.
[00:04:54] A yellow alert has been issued in Patanam Thitta district till May 16,
[00:04:58] Thursday.
[00:04:59] Yellow alerts are also in place for Tiruvannamalai on May 14,
[00:05:03] Tiruvannamalai and Kollam on May 15 and Tiruvannamalai, Kollam
[00:05:07] and Patanam Thitta on May 16.
[00:05:09] A yellow alert indicates rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
[00:05:16] There is no warning for fishermen so far.
