Senior Director of Marketing at Solidago Hema Chauhan meets with Rhea this episode to talk about her exhibition and what she presented to the visitors at the expos.
[00:00:06] Hello and welcome back to the official podcast of the CREDAI MCHI Grand Property Expo 2022. I'm Rhea and in this episode I have a very interesting conversation with Hema Chauhan, the Senior Director of Marketing at Solidago.
[00:00:21] Hema, welcome to the podcast. Thank you so much for being with us here today. Let's tell me. Great. So Hema, to begin with, you know, you're one of the exhibitors here at the Grand Property Expo. Why don't you kick us off by telling us a little bit about
[00:00:33] yourself and your company? We are here to exhibit our brand basically. We're not going to sell anything. So I am on behalf of Solidago and I'm the CMO of Solidago. And we are actually not selling the project out here. We are branding our company.
[00:00:51] So Hema, can you go a little deeper into that? Can you tell us what, you know, visitors can expect from your stall? So not from my project basically. I would say I would love the visitor to visit my
[00:01:02] stall because we have been designed it in a very different way. We want them to experience the stall basically. So if you look at the other exhibitors stall, it's very simple, it's very traditional. But the way we are presented in terms of
[00:01:17] branding our name, it's very different. So visitors do come visit this stall. Have a wonderful experience. Yeah, that definitely creates a bit of intrigue even I'm interested to know now what the experience is like.
[00:01:29] So you know, can you tell us a little bit more about, you know, how you've seen the real estate industry grow over the past few years and the changes that you've seen in its evolution?
[00:01:41] So if you talk about COVID, COVID has been a drop for everyone. But yeah, after COVID it has been a fantastic year for everyone. It's growing well, well, and very good rather. And in terms of the change, I see a lot of professionalism
[00:01:57] coming in from CP or from buyers. CPs have changed completely over the years because the way we used to look at CP in terms of a very traditional way, a local CP guy walking, now they also have taken a professional approach for the same.
[00:02:12] And from the visitors point of view, yes, people, you know, want something new, something or create something advance and I do believe they're ready to pay for what they're demanding. So I see this growing in a far better way.
[00:02:27] It's not only the developers who are growing, the visitors and the CP in their professional are also growing. And you know, coming back to your company just for a little bit, can you tell us the idea behind it? How this idea was conceived? What's the vision behind it?
[00:02:41] So basically we are rebranding the company with a 37 year old company. Okay. So we have a name as Tauhan Group Prior. We're still there. So we are the second generation doing this. And so now we are rebranded as Solid I Go.
[00:02:54] So if you hear the name, it doesn't matter what we're doing. Solid I Go is a name of a flower. But when you pronounce it, it goes very solid. Something you can rely on, a solid structure.
[00:03:06] So you know, speaking of your company's rebrand, I'm curious to know how have you evolved to meet the needs of the modern consumer? So yes, if you look at it, previously we used to work very traditional.
[00:03:17] Now that digital has been a boom, it has really worked for us. So basically if you look at my product, right now we have the H&I's and NRI's clients. As a company, if we would have approached in a traditional way,
[00:03:29] it would not be possible from a word of mouth, people saying, okay, here it is. But digital has worked so nicely. It's like a boom to us that we can reach any person at any point of time. Any country.
[00:03:42] Absolutely. That's so true. It's completely, you know, sort of melted the barrier. Absolutely yes. It has made things very easier. Yeah, absolutely. And you know, just wanted to know a little bit more about how you see the future of real estate. How do you see it growing?
[00:03:58] What are the future projections according to you? It's going to be fantastic. Because to be honest, the demand is very much high. And the supply being in Mumbai is less. So for developers, yes, it's going to work. No doubt people also want to grow.
[00:04:15] So I think it's going to be fantastic. It's going to be super fantastic. Okay, great. I would say Mumbai is next New York. Absolutely. You know, so now we're just coming back to the expo and talking about this big celebration we're at.
[00:04:32] Just wanted to know what's your experience been like so far? The experience is fantastic. And the footfalls are amazing. So we see a lot of people coming in. So this time I want to share something which I have experienced for the first time.
[00:04:47] So I've seen a lot of students from NMIMO coming up for their project to an expo, which is a very rare experience for exhibitors like us. And it's a very great thing that Crida MCHI is allowing those students to enter and experience this because they are our future.
[00:05:08] See, you need not just because they're students, you can't underestimate. So they have come down from this background of marketing and advertising and branding. So it was a fantastic experience even having them as a part of exhibition and it was different as well.
[00:05:23] You usually see those CPN, the visitors coming in. That's a very common cycle that we expect and it's you. But this was a fantastic and a new experience for me and the team and I think a lot of exhibitors to have students at the exhibition.
[00:05:39] So there's something different what I found from this exhibition which is always otherwise a common thing, a visitor, home buyers or a CP or any supplier coming in. And just one final question to all our listeners who will be coming to the expo
[00:05:56] and visiting these halls, what is the one last thing you would like to say? I would say everybody should visit the expo. Not only to buy but to understand how the market works. What is there in the market basically? It's not always about buying or taking things
[00:06:11] but it is to always understand what is the market about. So I request all of you, all the listeners to please come down to Crida MCHI and enjoy the expo. Thank you so much.
