A few days ago, before going to sleep I tweeted and asked my followers to share a favourite life lesson for me to read, once I wake up after 8 hours- be it a joke, a photograph, a meme or, a poem.
One of my followers- Sandeep, shared a very beautiful poem with me and I was impressed. So I decided to reach out to him and ask him if he could write a poem based on my content. Thankfully, he said yes!
Just yesterday, I received this poem in my inbox which I want to share with you today. This poem focuses on the fact that once we grow up, we want a lot of things from ourselves that we already had, back when we were kids.
We wish that we had the capability to take risks easily,
To talk to strangers without a doubt,
We cried or laughed- however forgot in a moment how we are feeling.
And we feel who is the lucky person to have all those things? Who has all these qualities?
While the truth is, we always had these abilities. These qualities were all within us back when we were kids. And Sandeep has beautifully walked us through this journey with his poetry.

When did we give up this childhood as we went towards youth and maturity? Why did growing up come with so many questions? Can we ever become a kid again?
When we were kids, we were not scared. We were happy to take risks.
When we were kids, we loved to make friends. We didn’t despise people.
When we were kids, we loved making mistakes. We didn’t judge ourselves.
Why did we forget ourselves as we came into this real world?
