In this intense episode of Money Matters, I speak with Amit, a 21-year-old from Nagpur who found himself trapped in a dangerous cycle of debt. Driven by a desire to lift his family out of the slums, Amit fell for the "get-rich-quick" allure of Forex trading. What started as minor losses spiraled into a ₹6-7 lakh disaster, forcing him to take out nine different personal loans.
Amit’s situation was dire: an in-hand salary of ₹28,400 against monthly EMIs totaling nearly ₹1 lakh. This video serves as a stark warning about the realities of trading and the "debt trap" created by quick-loan apps.
