In the harsh heat of Panchgani,
among children of labourers and farmers,
something powerful happened.
When Sambhaji Bhagat was in high school,
most students came from working-class families —
cleaning hotels, washing utensils, cooking, surviving.
Saturdays were brutal.
Punishments. Fear. Discipline through violence.
And then a young boy stood up during a school gathering
and sang a song.
🎵 “Don’t beat us… let us go to school.”
The hall fell silent.
Teachers were shocked.
Students asked for “once more” — three times.
That day, a protest voice was born.
This is the story of Sambhaji Bhagat’s first protest song —
a moment when music became resistance.
