That’s a massive statement. So read on to know what these 3 investment options are and how you can invest in them:
1️⃣ Real Estate Investment Trusts or REITs: This is where a company pools in money from investors like you and I, invests in a commercial property, operates it, gives it on rent, and distributes the rental income between investors. Eventually, you earn from both the rental income and capital appreciation.
In India currently there are only 4 REITs available for you to invest in: Embassy Office Parks REIT, Mindspace Business Parks REIT, and Brookfield India Real Estate Trust. Nexus Select Trust REIT, is recently launched on May 9, 2023. Going forward, other leading names in the Real Estate Sector like DLF and Godrej are also expected to introduce REITs.

2️⃣ Infrastructure Investment Trusts or InVits: These are also like mutual funds where you pool money with other investors to own and operate operational infrastructure assets like highways, roads, pipelines, warehouses, power plants, etc. Now, you get regular income here through dividends and again, long-term capital appreciation.
The primary objective of InvITs is to promote the infrastructure sector of India by encouraging more individuals to invest in it which can be modified according to a given situation. The link in our bio has a list of all SEBI registered InVits you can invest in!

3️⃣ Municipal bonds or Muni bonds: This is a debt investment, which is like a loan, that you as an investor give to the local government body, to fund projects like roads, bridges, schools, tolls, etc. Now these have a FIXED maturity and interest rate. Since these are government backed, they are considered safer.
The best part is these bonds and the interest paid on them can be tax free!
