Rakshasa from all over the world started burning in the fire of Parashara’s yajna. When Pulastya rishi noticed this destruction he requested Vashishtha rishi to stop his grandson. Rishi Vashishtha told Parashara rishi to stop his yajna for it was not correct to blame all the Rakshasa for the death of his father.
Parashara rishi eventually calmed down and stopped the yajna. Pulastya rishi blessed the rishi with divine knowledge.
पाराशर ऋषि का यज्ञ
पाराशर ऋषि अपने दादा वशिष्ठ ऋषि के आश्रम में बड़े होने लगे और उन्हें ही अपना पिता समझते थे। जब उन्हें अपने पिता का सत्य पता चला कि उनके पिता और चाचाओं की हत्या एक राक्षस के हाथों हुई, उनको बड़ा क्रोध आया और उन्होंने एक यज्ञ कर सभी राक्षसों को भस्म करने का निश्चय किया।
पाराशर ऋषि के यज्ञ के कारण विश्व के सभी राक्षस भस्म होने लगे। जब पुलस्त्य ऋषि को इसका पता चला तो उन्होंने वशिष्ठ ऋषि से उनके पौत्र को रोकने को कहा। वशिष्ठ ऋषि ने पाराशर मुनि को समझाया की अपने पिता की मृत्यु का दण्ड समस्त राक्षस कुल को देना सही नहीं है।
वशिष्ठ ऋषि के समझाने पर पाराशर ऋषि का क्रोध शान्त हुआ और उन्होंने अपना यज्ञ रोक दिया। इस बात से प्रसन्न होकर पुलस्त्य ऋषि ने उनको दैवी ज्ञान प्रदान किया।
